A qualified geologist and senior investment banker, Alberto built his career at the highest levels of investment banking and global finance. He held the positions of Managing Director, Head of Mining & Metals and Head of Energy for Asia/Global Energy Group.
Over his career, he has executed and advised on more than US$150 billion in mining, energy, and resource transactions, working with governments, corporates, and investors to unlock value across frontier and established markets. At Credit Suisse Investment Bank, he led landmark transactions that defined an era of investment in Asia — earning Credit Suisse the #1 ranking in advisory league tables (2008–2013, Thomson Reuters).
Before founding Petra Commodities, Alberto held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Standard Bank of South Africa, Société Générale, Westpac, and Sumitomo Bank of Japan.
A qualified geologist by training, Alberto brings a deep technical understanding of the earth’s resources. What sets him apart is his rare ability to bridge geology and finance, translating technical resource fundamentals into strategic, commercial and valuation-driven insights.
Alberto is a First Class Honours graduate in Science with a Major in Geology from the University of New South Wales and holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
Artem launched ACG Acquisition Company as a SPAC on the London Stock Exchange in 2022 with a strategy to consolidate the critical metals industry. The company completed the first transaction in Türkiye in 2024, acquiring producing Copper / Gold Gediktepe mine and was renamed ACG Metals Ltd. ACG’s near term goal is to build a 200-300 ktpa copper producer via a series of roll-up transactions.
Artem has previously designed and implemented a similar roll-up strategy in aluminium, having led several high-profile transactions that created UC Rusal, which he listed in Hong Kong in 2010 at a pre-money valuation of over $20 billion.
Artem’s former roles include the CEO of Chaarat Gold, CEO of En+ Group, head of strategy and Board director of UC Rusal. He also served as an independent non-executive director at Norilsk Nickel and as Chairman of International Aluminium Institute and started his career as a strategy consultant with Monitor Group in Boston and London.
Previously, Vinit has around two decades of industry experience and has held leadership roles in the global metals and minerals industry where he led commodities trading and structured strategic investments for large international firms.
A strong advocate for responsible and conflict-free supply chains, Vinit is deeply passionate about advancing circularity in metals and minerals. He has been a frequent speaker at critical minerals and recycling forums and served for three years on the Product Advisory Committee (Aluminium) of the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX).
Vinit is an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), holds an MBA, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) as well as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certified by GARP, USA.
